Mass deportation of Iraqi refugees in Copenhagen on August 13.
Ideally, every deportation should be accompanied by more or less similar scenes. More or less because it would of course be preferable to see those resisting get beaten a little less and the police forced more on the defensive. But the main point remains that it is important that the state not be allowed to carry out its dirty work in an atmosphere of quiet complacency, and in this case the general outrage over these images has achieved precisely that. So much so that over 20.000 people demonstrated yesterday in Copenhagen in solidarity with the „immigrants“ and against the police brutality.
