From the 26th till 28th of June the art installation S.O.S. Australia –restoring dignity will take place in Berlin. The installation is about Yolngu people and their struggle for land rights, self-determination and a treaty. The installation was developed in cooperation with Michele Harris, from 'concerned Australians' and with the support of Yolngu people from Arnhem Land. It will be dedicated to Michele Harris, a pro-Aboriginal activist who died on 1 June.
The installation is part of the popular annual Berlin art festival 48 Stunden Neukölln and is integrated in the Berlin Action Week to support the rights of Aboriginal people, which takes place from the 23rd till the 28th of June.
During this week there will be several events, among which are a public appeal to Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Berlin on the 24th of June, a cultural event in support of the Third Global Call to Action from #sosblakaustralia on the 27th of June and a creative public petition action at a hotspot in Berlin to support a public treaty debate in Australia on the 23rd of June.
On Saturday, June 27 at 8pm, Marc Miethe will perform a free Didgeridoo concert.
You can find further information about all these events on the Facebook page: Berlin Aboriginal Solidarität Netzwerk.

A cameraman will film the installation so there will be footage available soon after the festival.
Yolngu leader Rev. Dr. Djiniyini Gondarra in front of Australia House in London:
“Stop killing our people; stop jailing our people; stop stealing our Lands and the wealth it contains; Stop it!”
This is the message of the Indigenous people of Australia. Despite years of fighting for land rights and autonomy, and in spite of the Internet and the social media, their voices have barely reached us across the ocean. The installation 'Restoring Dignity' is an interactive installation, that will involve the spectator. It highlights the social circumstances of the Yolŋu people from Arnhem Land, in northern Australia. On Saturday, June 27 at 8pm, Marc Miethe will perform a free Didgeridoo concert.
