On the afternoon of the 18th of August political websites hosted in the same data centre as linksunten.indymedia.org have been subjected to denial-of-service attacks. IMC linksunten has not been the target of the attacks. The available bandwidth had been used up as a consequence of the attacks so that Indy linksunten and other websites and services were almost unreachable. In the mean time the friendly techies of May First / People Link and the internet service provider are working on a solution to the problem. Donations for speeding up the infrastructure are always welcome.
