A lot of people heard about the story of 2 may in Odessa, Ukraine. There were even a movie made by the german collective called "left vision" called lauffeuer - https://linksunten.indymedia.org/en/node/137839. On top of that several places have organized the screenings of this movie. There was a lot of criticism pointing the clear propaganda style of the movie, as well as manipulation of the facts (for example amount of dead in the clashes were stated way beyond 46 people) and one side story - the only people that were interviewed were people from pro-russian anti-maidan movement. The lack of the clear story of the movie made it possible for people to put as much political agenda as they wanted without any convincing facts.
Later collective of people from Ukraine made another documentary to put a
light on the whole story, unwrapping the chronology of events with
clear facts coming from multiply sources. The movie was called Odessa:
2. Mai - ohne Mythen. In it you can find maps, videos and interviews
from the both sides of the conflict.
We would like you to compare
both movies to have a clear understanding of how the political
propaganda works and be more critical to the information produced not
only from the mainstream, but also from the "left" political spectrum.

Leider.
