Friedel has been home away from home for many of us throughout the years, as it was always open for our talks, discussions, and meetings. Places like Friedel are important because they are a meeting point for local and international activists, a place that stands against effects of gentrification and inspires us to fight where we live, stand and work.
As cities like Berlin and Ljubljana are pushing all of us further and further to the edge of society and opening up to capital and profit, it is even more important that we not only defend, but even expand our autonomous spaces.

Shortly after, listeners of anarchist radio show Crna luknja, where the interview was published, got inspired by Friedel struggle and put up a banner on German embassy in Ljubljana, saying „Against eviction, Friedel stays.“
